How are the products made?
Making mugs, cups and other objects decorated with polymer clay is a creative process.
After creating a design, the modelling material is moulded and the figure or decoration is created with hand. The first step is to soften the material. Then the hand-shaped figure or decoration on the mug or glass is solidified by heating in an oven. The solidified figure on the mug is removed and glued to the outside of the mug using a special glue. The figure is then hand-painted with acrylic paint to give it its final colour. Finally, a varnish is applied for durability.
Can the products be microwaved?
Mugs and cups decorated with polymer clay figures can usually be microwaved, heating them in the microwave will not damage them.
Can the products be put in the dishwasher?
It is not recommended to put mugs and glasses decorated with polymer clay in the dishwasher. The decorative material is not resistant to high temperatures and contact with water in the dishwasher. Although it hardens and solidifies after heat treatment, the high temperature of the dishwasher and strong water jets can easily damage or crack the figure, and it can peel off the surface of the mug or cup.
If the mug or glass is made with such decoration, hand washing is recommended.
